The Elsevier Drug Information Application Programming Interface (DI API) is an integrated drug database and clinical decision support engine that delivers the most current and accurate clinical decision support, drug product and package data, images, pricing, professional monographs and patient education leaflets.
The DI API uses the Gold Standard Drug Database, and is designed to provide real-time clinical decision support to end users who are ordering medications, dispensing medications, adjudicating prescription claims, auditing prescription claims, analyzing medication data, and evaluating drug therapies.
The DI API has three main parts: (Auth) methods, (API) methods, and (Export) methods.
Auth Methods
The Auth methods provide temporary authentication/authorization (auth) credentials for the API methods and Export methods.
API Methods
The API methods provide access to the drug information in the Elsevier Gold Standard Drug Database (GSDD). Prior to calling these API methods you will need to obtain an AccessToken by calling the Auth methods.
Export Methods
The Export methods provide data exports from the Elsevier Gold Standard Drug Database (GSDD). Prior to calling these Export methods you will need to obtain an AccessToken by calling the Auth methods.
